We are a small, friendly company based in County Durham. We all work well together as a team, using humour, friendliness and biscuits to support each other. We take this same warm, friendly approach with all of our customers and are proud of the personal service we provide.
We meet lots of customers at events and exhibitions but not all of us have this opportunity. So you can meet the StoryPhones team here and put a face to a name. We'll look forward to chatting to you.

I trained as an Early Years Teacher in 1984, and have taught in the Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1. In 2001 I was given the opportunity to teach children with speech and language difficulties in a mainstream school. From 2003 to 2005 I was Project Coordinator for a language and communication intervention project which won a national award from the Deputy Prime Ministers Office for 'Innovation in Education'. It was my experiences as a special needs teacher that led me to create the concept of StoryPhones in 2004.
My main role at StoryPhones is to oversee the development of our StoryPhones systems, develop training and resources and to work with publishers and content providers to expand the BookShelf download store. I am always available to chat to anyone wanting ideas for audio resources and activities. I also spend quite a bit of time out and about telling people about StoryPhones and how we are trying to promote the spoken word. I still teach several times a month and enjoy my time back in the classroom. I also make the cakes and scones for everyone in the office.

I set up Ameeca with Eleanor in 2006 to help to bring exciting and useful technology products to education, starting with StoryPhones. As an academic at Durham University I spent many years working on a range of electronics technologies, particularly semiconductors, and also acted as a consultant with both large and small electronics companies in the UK and overseas. Working with partner companies in the UK is important to Ameeca and an ethical approach to business is key to our ethos. Most importantly, ensuring that customers get great service and excellent, innovative products is my priority.

I joined the company in February 2011 as part of the sales team with vast and varied experience of working in sales and marketing roles. My main focus is on customer service from first contact with StoryPhones through to after sales and beyond. Sense of humour is always important and certainly helps to get through the day (as the guys don't leave many biscuits in tin). If I can help with any queries you have about StoryPhones then you can ring 0845 652 0906 or email sales@storyphones.co.uk

As financial administrator, I am responsible for all administrative and financial tasks in our office. I also process all sales orders and dispatches so if you have a query regarding your order or delivery I will be the person to help. My role also includes the administration of the content credit for our download store and I am always available to answer any queries. I do on occasions have the chance to attend events and exhibitions and enjoy meeting our customers in person. If you ever need to contact me my number is 01207 524902 or you can email me at accounts@ameeca.co.uk.

My name is Chris, and I am responsible for all aspects of Customer Support for the StoryPhones Product. This can range from the initial setup of the system, to any questions you have about the various features and functions of the Headsets and Remote , as well as using the BookShelf software and accessing the Online Store. In the event that you do have a problem, I will get it resolved quickly and efficiently, so you can start enjoying your StoryPhones as quickly as possible. You can contact me via e-mail (support@storyphones.co.uk) and telephone (08456520907) to discuss any issues you have. My three top tips to getting started would be: 1) Take your time getting the system set up properly, 2) Watch the helpful videos that are included in the software and 3) Check the Support page of the Website for lots of useful hints!

Working at Ameeca on StoryPhones my job mainly involves maintaining and developing our StoryPhones Software. Since joining the company I have helped to improve the usability and functionaily of our software as well as develop an alternative version for our Mac based customers. I also work on our online store, adding extra features and dealing with the content. In addition to all this I also maintain the StoryPhones website.
