Last night the annual Durham and Wearside regional heats of the North East Business Awards took place at the Ramside Hall Hotel in Durham. Ameeca Ltd the creators of StoryPhones won the Newcomer of the Year Award and were finalists in the Innovation Award category. 

After receiving the award Simon Johnson, Managing director of Ameeca Ltd, commented “We are absolutely thrilled to have won this prestigious award. Everyone at Ameeca has worked so hard this last year and it is great to be rewarded in this way. The challenge is now to push on and continue to make improvements in how audio resources can be used within the classroom.”

The North East Business Awards finals will be held on 29th April at Hardwick Hall in Sedgefield, where Ameeca Ltd will be a finalist.
