All of the children, including my reluctant readers, loved using StoryPhones to read books
Anne Metcalfe, KS1 Teacher, South Stanley Infants
At Ameeca, we are confident that we have created a new and exciting tool to help you enchance the listening and learning experience of your children. Speaking and listening skills are the essential building blocks for reading and writing. With this view in mind, we want to continue developing resources which allow children to develop these skills and to access audio materials to aid their learning and to encourage their enjoyment of books, songs and music.
Through this website and our other activities, we aim to provide practitioners with the tools and the resources to make their setting as conducive to learning as possible. We are dedicated to becoming a trusted destination for practitioners to find information and to share resources. We believe that this sharing of ideas can generate creativity and innovation throughout education.
We are aware that the products we make have an impact on the world as well as the people who use them. Given that all of our products and services are designed to help young children in one way or another, we are very aware that we have to make sure that in doing this, we are not adversely affecting their environment.
Our head office utilizes a range of sustainable construction techniques including ground source heating/cooling, a wind turbine and photovoltaic roof panels. Wherever possible, we use recycled card and paper and we are working very hard to minimise the carbon footprint in the production of StoryPhones. StoryPhones complies with the ROHS directive so that hazardous substances are not introduced into the environment by its production. We also comply with the Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment directive to ensure safe disposal of the product at its end of life. StoryPhones are produced in the UK.
